Here is the procedure for digital certificate registration with Income Tax department website for eFiling of Income Tax Returns.
Open website in Internet Explorer Click on the “Login” tab to continue
If you are already a registered User, enter your User ID (usually PAN No.) and password and click Login. If you are not a registered user please register yourself
On the Login Page, click on My Account and select Update Digital Certificate
Click YES, then tick the “Always trust content from the publisher” and then click on RUN on the following prompts
